I’ve been fascinated by efficiency of time, materials & money since I was a young girl though you might not guess it because I constantly try to fill more things into finite time. I grew up composting in the 1960’s before it was cool and was enchanted with recycling just before the materialistic 80’s made me look strange. I’m suddenly very sustainably fashionable after all these years!

Onethirdacre is the size of my property that my idealistic long term goal is for it to be self-sustaining for food & energy. Meanwhile, the nitty realities of life interfere including how to pay for it, how to find the time to get it done and how to convince my family to be a larger part of it!

Most everyday interactions have emotional, economic and moral impact. I tend to see the world through these lenses.
